Emanuel Gruengard is a professor at the Software Engineering Department of Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, Israel, and the Academic Coordinator for the online programs of the University of Liverpool Master’s degrees in Computing. Prof. Gruengard studied mathematics and started his career in computing by working for IBM Israel. During his career with IBM he helped developing its Operating Systems and was manager of several professional departments including the IBM Israel Scientific Center. Prof. Gruengard taught at Bar-Ilan University and still teaches at Shenkar College. He was, nine years ago, one of the "'founding fathers" of the Laureate/UoL program and is involved as well in several other Distance Learning projects ranging from K-12 to University students.
